Toilet Training should be a fun and exciting experience for both you and your child. Remember, your child is the one that is in control of the process, not you. If you take a slow, casual, matter-of-fact approach, and make it fun then you will be much more successful and this is why Pee Pal Stickers work so well!
Praise is what drives children and they need positive reinforcement for success to happen. The reason that you will find it so easy to train with the Pee Pal Stickers is because children will be motivated to come back again and again to see what happens when they use the potty successfully. This is their immediate way of getting praise and then if you follow up with praise as well, there will be great results! Potty training is a very complex skill for your toddler to master and it requires concentration, coordination, and most of all muscle control. However, when they are truly ready for potty training then you will quickly see results, especially with the aid of Pee Pals!
Don’t attempt to begin training until you child shows definite signs of readiness. The average age that a toddler will be ready to train is about 2 ˝ years of age, some as early as 18 months and some not until 3-4 years of age. Not only waiting until your child is ready is very important but also it is very important to wait until there are no major changes taking place in your child’s life. Some of the top signs of toddler readiness are:
Stays dry for an hour or more during the day or wakes up from a nap and is dry.
Has consistent bowel movements around the same time of the day.
Makes some reference to the fact that he/she is wetting/soiling their diaper.

Shows interest in older siblings or you visiting the washroom.
Can at least help pull up/down their own pants.
Understands simple commands like “let’s wash our hands”.
Imitates actions by others.
Wakes up in the morning and he/she is dry is a big clue.
Asks to be changed (doesn’t like feeling wet or dirty).
Wants to try the potty!
Once you have determined that your child may be ready for potty training you should involve your child in the process of getting ready for the big day! Let your child pick out their potty at the store. When you bring it home, you should be excited for your child and you should show him/her where the potty will be placed and you should let your toddler try out the potty even with pants on to just “sit” on it. Then you get out your Pee Pal Stickers and place it in the bottom of a flat bottomed potty and showing your child with some warm tap water what happens to the sticker when you “pee” on it, they will be amazed! Then you explain it to them that this will happen if they are successful on the potty as well and this is what makes them come back again and again! The successfulness depends on your child visiting the potty often enough not to have any accidents and the Pee Pal sticker’s makes this happen!
Each sticker lasts about 6-12 weeks and by this time your child should have a good grasp on potty training and if you need to use another sticker then you can easily replace it with a brand new one.
